We’ve added some information about Azul Wasi, a project in Peru to give a home to street children. There’s some recent news, details about fund-raising activities and lots of photos.

This year’s focus for Lent at St Andrew’s is the desert – on the face of it, an arid, lifeless, depressing place, but in fact full of life, love and beauty. Details of the five-week Lent course (which begins in the first week of March) are here.

Sunday 8 February is this year’s Stewardship Sunday at St Andrew’s. A summary of last year’s finances is being sent to all church members. Overall, giving was up to nearly £71,000; total income was nearly £84,000, but expenditure was £500 more. Those who would like to give regularly by standing order can use this form (which also has GiftAid information).

The January report [pdf] from the Mission and Giving group is now up, together with a summary for 2008 [pdf], listing all the projects St Andrew’s has contributed to in the last year. Both of these documents can be found on the Mission and Giving page, along with more details of the projects we’re supporting.

A concert given by Chesterton Community College musicians at St Andrew’s Church on Wednesday, 12th November at 7.30pm. Chesterton Singers, conducted by Roger Bond, will provide a programme of different styles of songs, interspersed with items from some of their leading jazz musicians. No tickets, but a retiring collection will be taken for Camtrust, which provides educational opportunities for adults with disabilities…
